Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American following her win on American Idol's inaugural season. It brought her to the spotlight and secured her the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, and 'S Records. In the years since her debut, she released numerous albums. From those, three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came near the top. She's one of the biggest performers to emerge from American Idol. As she achieved success she explored a variety of themes and music styles often co-writing her songs in accordance to her own personal experiences. As a tribute to her talent and uniqueness, she has received lots of praise and awards. In particular, she's won three times the Grammy Award three times. In addition to her musical profession, she has also had a stint in TV and film. She also wrote the kids' novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with a number of charities.
