Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actor, singer, writer and producer. She is known best for her part on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also directed, produced and starred on her own movies Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on 8 January 1977. Danielle is her elder sister and an artist. Benson has a father who is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson started appearing in different movies, such as The Killing Jar. Benson has also been featured in TV shows such as Morganville The Series. Behind the camera Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010, she also directed Drones. Buffy states that, after taking the time to count them and identify them she found at least 1800 Slayers all over the world from which 500 belong with Scooby Gang.
