Lisa Edelstein has been an American actor for more than 20 years. She is most well-known for her role on House on Fox. Growing up with Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in theater at Tisch. She was very active in the nightlife scene in New York City, and was able that she was heard by the media. In the meantime she became more aware of AIDS and its devastating impacts. She used both her experience in the music industry and public recognition to write and perform in a musical of her own, Positive Me. Then, she was hired by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. Once Awake on the Wild Side had stopped airing, she started to act in films and on television, initially in small roles. As time went on, her work in acting was growing.
